Cooking and storytelling are two meaningful ways to empower refugee women to celebrate cultures, share stories of migration, build strong connections and sense of belonging in the community. We will explore the power of food and stories in breaking down language and cultural barriers, communicating cross-culturally, and bringing diverse people together around a table. How can we use food to welcome refugee newcomers, extend hospitality, and build relationships? What are ways to create intercultural spaces and opportunities to eat, learn and engage with newcomers.
